Like many churches, we’re quite a mix of people of all ages and from all sorts of backgrounds. But we have one important thing in common: we believe Jesus Christ is the key to finding new life with God. Our desire is that for those who already have a living faith in him, we would grow to know him better, and for those who are seeking God, that they will find him through the good news – the gospel – that lies at the very heart of our life as a church.
We believe church is not primarily ‘a place to go’, but a community to which we belong. Every church is meant to be a local expression of God’s worldwide family and should be a place where anyone can come to discover God for himself or herself and find a place in his new community.
There’s a place for kids and young people in that community as well. So we try to make sure that their needs are included in the church programme from tots right through to teens. Our Sunday Services are family-friendly with crèche facilities available for small children who are not yet able to sit through a whole service. All our children’s workers are required to undergo government-approved vetting procedures before being allowed to work with children or vulnerable adults.
